The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
- The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team access places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by the clan.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.
